Everybody knows the four pillars of mastering a language are Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Inline with this fact, “Reader’s Theatre” was held on Saturday 27th July, 2019. The purpose of the event was encouraging students to read a story and find out the meanings of each word including those which are difficult and enrich their vocabulary. The students of std 4th (A and B) and std 5th (A and B) participated in event. It was fun and enriching experience for the students who have a natural liking for stories. At the same time, they came across quite a few words which were challenging and they passed through with flying colours. Similarly, teacher’s too gained knowledge of a few words and parents appreciated the efforts put in by the school to help students learn English in a new fun way.
A health mind resides nowhere else but in a healthy body. And by extension it is connected to a healthy diet. The school held an event for the students of STD 4th and std 5th titled “Food Express’. to make the event more interesting, each class was assigned a task of preparing a particular dish at home and bring it to school in their lunch – box. Std 4th A and 4th B were to bring a Chinese dish. Similarly std 5 A and 5 B were going to prepare a Guajarati dish consisting of a Sabji and a Roti. Students and their parents whole heartedly participated and lip-smashingly delicious dishes were presented on the occasion.
Rainbow – a beautiful natural phenomenon which symbolizes beauty, positive change and happiness in all the cultures that are present on earth. When it appears in the sky, nobody can help but smile and experience true joy. In recognition of this fact, a ‘Wind Chimes’ making competition was organized on 9th August 2019. It also helped to serve a dual purpose of allowing students to show case their art and craft skills. Students of std 4 A, 4 B 3 A and 3 & B were to prepare wind chimes making wonderful sound notes. There were created representing the various colours of rainbow. It was sheer joy to simply watch and hear the sweet sounds of the dazzling exhibits displayed by the students. It was a truly remarkable and impressive day of the year.
